Laroque, a medieval town in the southern C\u00e9vennes, is 11 km from our Val d’H\u00e9rault campsite. Built on a rocky outcrop, it boasts a rich historical, religious and natural heritage. Discover the Saint-Jean de Laroque chapel with its original 12\u1d49 century altar and its 13\u1d49 century military defense tower, which houses the sacristy. For an original and fun way to discover this fortified town, take part in the summer season in the dramatized tour entitled “Sur la route de la laine”. You’ll learn all about the secrets of transhumance and wool spinning in the C\u00e9vennes. <\/p>

Near the historic center of Laroque, don’t hesitate to stop off at the shaded playground, just a stone’s throw from the H\u00e9rault river.
